The first phase was aimed at enforcing the public’s understanding of the 5-Step Mozzie Wipeout and play a part in preventing dengue from spreading. The second phase sought to heighten the vigilance against dengue by leveraging the public’s motivation to protect their loved ones from dengue infection. An integrated publicity campaign to convey the dengue prevention message Besides traditional media, NEA tapped on out-of-home media and digital/social media platforms to target certain audiences. To convey the dengue prevention message to youths and travellers, for instance, NEA created an online game and YouTube music video, and commissioned digital advertisements on social media platforms and popular websites. In addition, NEA reached out directly to the community, especially homemakers and the elderly, through deployment of poster walkers. The concerted publicity and outreach efforts underscores the need for a collective effort by NEA and the community to defeat dengue. Do the 5-Step Mozzie Wipeout
