The role of systems in Environmental Services
Through my studies and projects, I have learnt how facilities and operations affect energy use, hygiene, and environmental impact. These experiences helped me understand that meaningful environmental impact often comes from consistent, well-managed systems rather than one-off initiatives. I am particularly interested in how planning, coordination, and long-term thinking can support reliable operations and sustainable outcomes.
A sector with lasting impact
The Environmental Services Industry is essential to public health, safety, and sustainability, regardless of economic conditions. Much of the work happens quietly behind the scenes, yet it plays a critical role in maintaining the environments people depend on every day. Through the NEA-Industry Scholarship, I hope to apply what I have learnt in a real working environment. Understanding how systems operate on the ground and learning from experienced professionals will help me grow beyond the classroom.
