Environmental Services Industry Transformation Map
The Environmental Services Industry Transformation Map (ES ITM) was launched in 2017 to create stronger businesses and better jobs for the Cleaning and Waste Management sectors. The Pest Management sector was added in 2019 to harness greater synergy between the three sectors and enable the workforce to become multi-skilled and cross-employable.
The COVID-19 pandemic had underscored the importance of industry resilience to balance the continued provision of quality services, with managing resource and infrastructure challenges, while meeting service demands. At the same time, emphasis of green growth and environmental sustainability for a sustainable future Singapore will lead to new market opportunities for the industry.
NEA and our tripartite partners will pursue the next bound of transformation through the ES ITM 2025, which will center on four key thrusts to strengthen innovation, productivity, and quality jobs in the ES industry:
Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment Dr Koh Poh Koon launched the Environmental Services Industry Transformation Map (ES ITM) 2025 on 16 Jan 2023. The Environmental Services ITM 2025, led by National Environment Agency (NEA) in partnership with its tripartite partners and key industry players, focuses on accelerating efforts to strengthen innovation, improve productivity and create quality jobs.
