About the Guide
As part of efforts to project a professional image of the environmental services industry, the National Environment Agency (NEA) has produced a Guide on Uniforms to serve as a reference for companies when developing their respective company policies on uniforms. The Guide provides basic recommendations for the workers to appear neat and tidy in their attire. The Guide has been developed with three key principles to ensure (i) safety, (ii) comfort and (iii) appearance of the uniform design.
The second edition of this Guide has incorporated guidelines on Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) in view of higher demand for cleaning and disinfection services.
Who is it for?
The Guide is for Cleaning, Waste Management and Pest Management service providers who need reference for developing their companies’ policies on uniforms.
Service buyers are also encouraged to use the Guide as a reference document if they require their service provider’s workers to don uniforms for their cleaning, waste management and/or pest management work.
