Interest In Sustainability and Green Technology
My interest in sustainability began when I first learned about solar panels, which sparked my curiosity about the green technology sector. Learning how renewable energy technologies work sparked my curiosity about how engineering and technology can support environmental solutions. From there, I became interested in pursuing a career in the green sector, particularly in roles where technology solutions such as Internet of Things (IoT) could support environmental efforts.
Drawn to the Environmental Services Industry
One thing that drew me to the Environmental Services Industry is the opportunity to give back to the environment and the community. By joining this industry, I hope to play my part in contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable environment, and support efforts to address climate change.
I was also curious to learn more about how the industry operates and the many roles behind the scenes that help keep our environment clean. Through the NEA-Industry Scholarship, I hope to gain hands-on exposure to the sector and better understand how these roles contribute to keeping Singapore clean and livable.
