Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG)

About the Grant

The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) is a financial support scheme to raise the operational efficiency and productivity of the Environmental Services industry through the adoption of productive solutions. The financial support scheme has ended. Further updates (if any) on this scheme, will be made available on NEA’s website.

Eligibility Criteria

Applications must meet the following eligibility criteria at the point of submission through the Business Grant Portal:

  • The applicant must be a registered[1] business in Singapore
  • The applicant must be either of the following:
    • an NEA-licensed[2] waste management company, cleaning company or pest management company with existing contracts in Singapore,
    • a premises owner (i.e. building/facility owner) with official certificate of title,
    • a tenant/lessee at deployment location, with lease agreement at stipulated location that is valid for at least 2 years from date of application in BGP, and have obtained approval from landlord/lessor on the intention to apply for PSG and deploy the solution at the premises,
    • a managing agent representing the Management Corporation Strata Title (MCST), where MCST's approval must be obtained for the managing agent to apply on its behalf.
  • The applicant must not have made any payment and/or signed or confirmed any contract or order with a supplier, vendor or third party, in relation to the purchase/lease/subscription of the solution or equipment before the application.
  • Pre-owned solutions or equipment will not be supported.
  • The solution or equipment must be used in Singapore.

The following entities do not qualify for grant support:

  • Charities, Institutions of Public Characters (IPCs)
  • Religious Entities
  • Voluntary Welfare Organisation (VWO)
  • Government agencies and subsidiaries

Grant Application


To apply for the PSG, companies will have to:
  1. Visit GoBusiness Government Assistance website to view the list of supportable solutions and identify relevant solutions for adoption.

  2. Obtain quotations from desired vendors:
    • For Digital Solution: Obtain a quotation from pre-approved vendor
    • For Equipment: Obtain a quotation and product brochure from selected vendor

  3. Submit an application on the Business Grants Portal (BGP) at www.businessgrants.gov.sg.
Note: Businesses will need to register for a CorpPass account to access BGP.

Funding Support (for scheme period 17 September 2018 to 30 September 2021)

Licensed waste management, cleaning and pest management companies with existing contracts in Singapore as well as building/facility owners that are eligible for the PSG can be supported at up to 80% of the qualifying cost[3] for the list of supportable equipment and digital solutions, or a total grant cap of S$350,000 per company over the grant application period from 1 April 2020 to 30 September 2021, whichever applies.

Claim extension request will have to be sought at least one month before the end of the qualifying period. Companies are also required to own/lease the equipment/digital solutions within their premises at least one year from the date the final claim is approved in the Business Grant Portal.

[2] Licensed waste management and cleaning companies include general waste collectors, public waste collectors, general waste disposal facilities, and cleaning businesses offering general cleaning services. 

[3] Qualifying cost include only the actual purchase/lease/hire purchase cost of the digital solutions or equipment and excludes other related administrative fees/charges, design fees, freight charges, shipping charges, port charges, bank charges, charges for assembling and dismantling/hacking, service charges, maintenance fees, etc. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is not supported.
