Energy Efficiency Grant

Up to 70% support to adopt pre-approved energy efficient equipment. The EEG will be extended for one year, from 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027, as announced at Budget 2026.



About this programme

The Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) aims to support businesses in their sustainability journey by co-funding investment in energy efficient (EE) equipment. More info on the grant can be found here.

EEG (Base)

Up to $30,000

Pre-approved EE equipment

Up to 70% for SMEs1 and up to 30% for non-SMEs until 31 March 2027

EEG (Advanced)2 (only applicable to manufacturing and construction sectors)

Up to $350,000 across EEG Base and Advanced

EE equipment need not be pre-approved, but must demonstrate energy savings above 350 tonnes lifetime carbon abatement

Lower of:

  • Support levels under EEG Base; or
  • Grant quantum computed based on EE equipment’s expected energy savings

1 SMEs refer to companies with group annual sales turnover not exceeding $100 million, OR a group employment size not exceeding 200 employees.

2 Applications for EEG(Advanced) for the port sector were closed on 31 March 2026.

 

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all the following eligibility criteria at the point of application:

Business entity registered and operating in Singapore in the Manufacturing sector as defined below:

  • Manufacturing companies that are classified under SSIC 10 to 32 (including Food Manufacturing)   
  • Has a minimum of 30% local shareholding
  • Has a Group Annual Sales Turnover of no more than S$500 million
  • The equipment purchased must be used in Singapore
  • The project shall not have commenced at the time of application.

For equipment that is currently not on the pre-approved list, companies may submit a request for it to be included via our online form.
