Energy Efficiency Grant

Up to 70% support to adopt pre-approved energy efficient equipment. The EEG will be extended to 31 March 2028, as announced via MOF's 7 April 2026 Ministerial Statement.



About this programme

The Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) aims to support businesses in their sustainability journey by co-funding investment in energy efficient (EE) equipment. More info on the grant can be found here.

Up to $30,000

Pre-approved EE equipment

  • For SMEs1: Up to 70%
  • For non-SMEs: Up to 30%
Until 31 March 2028

Advanced Tier

Up to $350,000 across EEG Base and Advanced

EE equipment need not be pre-approved, but must demonstrate energy savings above 350 tonnes lifetime carbon abatement

Lower of:

  • Support levels under EEG Base; or
  • Grant quantum computed based on EE equipment’s expected energy savings

Until 31 March 2027

1 SMEs refer to companies with group annual sales turnover not exceeding $100 million, OR a group employment size not exceeding 200 employees.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet all the following eligibility criteria at the point of application:

Business entity registered and operating in Singapore in the Manufacturing sector as defined below:

  • Manufacturing companies that are classified under SSIC 10 to 32 (including Food Manufacturing)   
  • Has a minimum of 30% local shareholding
  • Has a Group Annual Sales Turnover of no more than S$500 million
  • The equipment purchased must be used in Singapore
  • The project shall not have commenced at the time of application.
  • Be a partner under the Energy Efficiency National Partnership (EENP). Companies can register to be an EENP partner via this link.

Supportable Equipment

The list of supported equipment can be found here:

  • Boiler System
  • Clothes Dryer
  • Compressed Air System
  • Cooking Hob
  • Motors
  • Refrigerator
  • Water Heater

Air-conditioner and LED Lighting are supported under EEG Generic category and are not included in the Manufacturing sector equipment list. 

For eligible Boiler System and Compressed Air System that are not currently on the pre-approved list, companies may submit a request via our online form.


How to apply

Companies may submit their applications through the Business Grants Portal (BGP) under BGP 2.0, subject to the eligibility criteria and supported equipment applicable to their sector.
