Energy Efficiency National Partnership

EENP Logo

The Energy Efficiency National Partnership (EENP) programme was launched by the National Environment Agency on 29 April 2010.

It is an industry-focused voluntary partnership programme for companies that wish to be more energy efficient, thereby enhancing their long-term business competitiveness and reducing their carbon footprint.

Under this partnership, partners commit to work towards adopting in-house Energy Management System (EnMS) at the organizational level to continuously and systematically measure and manage energy consumption, and identify energy efficiency improvements. This involves:

  • Appointing an energy manager;
  • Developing an energy policy;
  • Establishing energy targets; and
  • Implementing energy efficiency improvement plans.

  • Components of EENP

    The EENP programme supports partners in their energy efficiency efforts through learning network activities and resources, incentives and recognition.

    1) Incentives

    EENP partners in the manufacturing sector can leverage the Energy Efficiency Grant (EEG) to invest in energy efficient (EE) equipment.

    2) EENP Learning Network

    The EENP Learning Network provides opportunities for the EENP partners to learn about energy efficiency ideas, technologies, best practices and standards. The platforms include:

  • high level fora that are targeted at top management;
  • conferences and sharing sessions, such as the biennial National Energy Efficiency Conference;
  • technical workshops on industrial systems to provide intensive training to engineers and practitioners; and
  • energy efficiency-related resources.

  • The upcoming learning events are listed below.

    Access the energy efficiency-related resources below.

    3) EENP National Recognition Scheme

    Outstanding EENP partners are recognized for their efforts and achievements in improving energy efficiency through the annual EENP Awards.

    EENP Partners

    Locally registered companies may join the EENP programme. Large energy consumers (>54 TJ/year) regulated under the Energy Conservation Act are especially encouraged to join the EENP programme. The EENP programme is also open to energy services companies, energy consultants and companies providing energy efficiency related services.

    As of 01 Apr 2024, a total of 428 companies have joined as Partners. Please click here for the list of EENP Partners.
