Noise Measurements
NEA requires all construction sites located within 150m from the nearest noise-sensitive premises such as residential buildings, hospitals and schools to install noise monitoring system(s) to monitor the noise levels generated from the construction work closely.
Noise Management Plan
For larger construction projects situated near residential or noise-sensitive premises, NEA requires contractors to submit Noise Management Plans (NMP) prior to the commencement of work. The NMP helps to ensure that developers and contractors plan for measures to comply with the construction noise permissible limits and to reduce noise disamenities to nearby noise sensitive receptors.
