1 October 2026 – The first fortnight of October 2026 will likely be drier than the previous fortnight. Southwest Monsoon conditions are prevailing over Singapore and the surrounding region and are expected to continue in the coming fortnight, with winds blowing mainly from the southeast or southwest.
2 Fair and warm conditions are expected on several days, particularly during the first week of October 2026. Thundery showers are forecast over parts of the island in the late morning and afternoon on some days. The total rainfall for the first fortnight of October 2026 is forecast to be below average over most parts of the island.
3 Daily maximum temperatures are likely to range between 34 degrees Celsius and 35 degrees Celsius on most days, and could slightly exceed 35 degrees Celsius on a few days. Some nights may be warm and humid, with minimum temperatures remaining above 27 degrees Celsius.

REVIEW OF THE PAST TWO WEEKS (16 – 30 September 2026)
5 Southwest Monsoon conditions prevailed over Singapore and the surrounding region in the second fortnight of September 2026, with winds blowing mostly from the southeast or southwest.
6 Localised short-duration thundery showers fell over parts of the island on several days during the second fortnight of September 2026. There were also a few days when widespread moderate to heavy thundery showers affected Singapore. On 22 September 2026, regional wind convergence brought heavy thundery showers over many areas of Singapore in the afternoon. The highest daily total rainfall for the second fortnight of September 2026 was recorded near Rifle Range Road on that day, at 130.6mm.
7 The second fortnight of September 2026 was warm, with daily maximum temperatures exceeding 34 degrees Celsius on most days. The highest daily maximum temperature of 35.8 degrees Celsius was recorded at Woodlands on 26 September 2026. This tied the record for the highest daily maximum temperature in September, previously recorded at Sembawang Road on 30 September 2016. There were also several nights when minimum temperatures remained above 27 degrees Celsius over many areas of the island.
8 Almost all parts of Singapore recorded above-average rainfall in the second fortnight of September 2026, with only the area around Jurong West recording below-average rainfall. The area around Kranji registered rainfall of 212 per cent above average, and the area around Jurong West registered rainfall of 9 per cent below average.
