Air Quality Forecast

24-hour PSI: High Moderate to Mid Unhealthy

Health Advisory

Healthy persons: If 24 hr PSI is Moderate, normal activities. If 24 hr PSI is Unhealthy, reduce prolonged or strenuous outdoor physical exertion.
Elderly, pregnant women & children: If 24 hr PSI is Moderate, normal activities. If 24 hr PSI is Unhealthy, minimise prolonged or strenuous outdoor physical exertion.
Persons with chronic lung/heart disease: If 24 hr PSI is Moderate, normal activities. If PSI is Unhealthy, avoid prolonged or strenuous outdoor physical exertion.

Refer to the 1-hr PM2.5 for immediate activities, and the 24-hr PSI forecast to plan ahead.

Singapore, 04 September 2026 – The weather over Singapore today was fair and occasionally windy. As at 7pm, the 1-hr PM2.5 concentration readings were 41-83 µg/m3, in Band I - 2 (Normal - Elevated), and the 24-hr PSI was 83-116, in the Moderate – Unhealthy range.

Update on Hotspot and Haze Situation

  1. The surrounding region was mostly dry today. Smoke plumes from fires in the southern and central parts of Sumatra and various parts of Kalimantan were observed to drift towards Singapore.
  1. As dry conditions are forecast for the coming days, Singapore may continue to be affected by transboundary haze under the prevailing southeasterly or southerly winds if the fires persist. The 24-hr PSI for Singapore is forecast to be in the higher end of the Moderate to the middle of the Unhealthy range.

  1. The health impact of haze is dependent on one’s health status, the PSI level, and the length and intensity of outdoor activity. Use the 24-hr PSI forecast and corresponding health advisories for planning next day outdoor activities.
