Current Exhumation Programmes
Phase 5 of the exhumation programme covers the Exhumed Remains Section (ERS) of the Chinese Cemetery. The graves in ERS date back to between 1947 and 1975. Please see the map for location of graves.
The deadline for claim registration of the remains buried in this section is 31 July 2016. Physical exhumation will commence in the fourth quarter of 2016. For claimed remains, next-of-kin will be notified of the exhumation by NEA at a later date. Alternatively, next-of-kin who wish to make private arrangements to engage their own contractor to exhume the graves can do so at their own expense.
How to make a claim
Next-of-kin of the deceased buried in the ERS can register their claims for the remains via:

Next-of-kin are encouraged to submit the Claim Registration Form early. Once the claim is registered, NEA will schedule the date of exhumation.
(All unclaimed graves will be exhumed, and the remains cremated and kept for three years before they are scattered at sea)

Phase 4 of the exhumation programme covers Blocks 3, 4, and 5 of the Muslim Cemetery. The graves in these blocks date back to between 1980 and 1986. Registration of claims has closed as of 14 March 2013. Physical exhumation has commenced in March 2013.

Past Exhumation Programmes
Phase 1 exhumation covers the Chinese Cemetery, Block 1 and Hindu Cemetery, Division 1 to 3. The graves in these areas date back to between 1946 and 1961.

Phase 2(a) exhumation covers the Chinese Cemetery, Block 2. The graves in these areas date back to between 1954 and 1971.
Phase 2(b) exhumation covers the Pusara Aman Cemetery, Block 1 and 2. The graves in these areas date back to between 1973 and 1980.
Phase 3 exhumation covers the Chinese Cemetery, Block 4, 5 and 6. The graves in these areas date back between 1968 and 1978.
