Working with the International Community on Climate Action CC has become a global challenge that requires a global response. Singapore is committed to playing its part to support global efforts to address climate change. As a small, low-lying island city-state, Singapore is especially vulnerable to one grave threat, and that is rising sea levels. Singapore recognised the importance of regional and international cooperation on climate action. On 10 July 2018, Singapore as ASEAN Chair, Mr Masagos Zulkifi,
Minister (MEWR) launched the Climate Action Package (CAP) and as a deliverable at the Special ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Climate Action (SAMCA) and Expanded-SAMCA (E-SAMCA) with ministers and representatives from the ASEAN Plus Three (ASEAN, China, Japan and the Republic of Korea).
MEWR, MFA & NEA: Implementation of CAP
For the implementation of CAP, MEWR made arrangements with MFA to roll out the CAP capacity development programmes under the Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP) training framework.
