In wrapping up the breakout session,

reporting for large commercial premises and extended producer responsibility for packaging materials. In adopting a circular economy model, businesses need to change the way they work, grow capabilities, drive innovation and adopt greater use of technology to raise productivity. In doing so, they can also close the waste loop to enable their businesses to become more sustainable over the long-term. He added that NEA would continue to work closely with key stakeholders in the industry to bring about change on various fronts, including catalysing the use of technology and innovation, enhancing jobs and skills, and increasing opportunities for internationalisation.
Mr Tan Meng Dui also announced that Singapore will be launching the first Zero Waste Masterplan in late 2019.

Resources reiterated the importance of integrating business with environmental sustainability and encouraged companies to seek cooperation opportunities in circular economy. Dr Amy Khor too contributed her own circular solution — mobile phone as a service for lease. This would encourage the better design of phones that are durable, repairable and recyclable.
4. Design policies to enable circular economy
As host of the Catalyst event, Mr Tan Meng Dui, CEO, NEA thanked everyone for their participation, and shared that NEA has and will continue to design policies to enable a circular economy, such as mandatory waste
