Introduction To Waste Management in Singapore

SYNOPSIS

This 1-day introductory course is designed to provide participants with an overview of waste management concepts and strategies adopted by the National Environment Agency (NEA) to manage waste in Singapore. The course will cover legislation, the municipal waste collection and disposal framework, and the control and management strategies of toxic, hazardous, hospital and other special waste streams. Participants will also be introduced to an 8-step waste minimisation plan that could be deployed to help companies reduce the cost of production and disposal.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of the course, participants will Understand the waste management concepts and strategies adopted by the National Environment Agency (NEA) to manage the various waste streams in Singapore.
