How do I register for the courses?
Please submit your registration online at http://esvcweb.nea.gov.sg/eteams/sei/CalendarSearch.aspx. Overseas participants can contact SEI customer relations officer.

When is the next run of the courses?
The tentative date of the next run is provided in the course webpages under the Complete List of All SEI Programmes. You can check our upcoming courses at http://esvcweb.nea.gov.sg/eteams/sei/CalendarSearch.aspx. If the course registration is closed, class full or not available, you can call our hotline at 1800-2255 632 or email us at nea_seicustomer@nea.gov.sg.

When is the registration closing date for the courses?
The closing date is three weeks before the course commencement, but registration will close as soon as the class is full.

Can I make reservation for the class?
All our courses are offered on a a first-come-first-serve basis. To reserve a seat for yourself/your staff, please register online.

How do I ensure that my registration is successful?
Your registration is successful when you reach the course application acknowledgement page showing the Queue ID and other registration details. Please print the page as a record of your course application. And also that SEI have received the full course fee payment before the course commence.

Do SEI courses have accreditation?
Yes, some courses are accredited under the Professional Engineers Board's Continuing Professional Development Programme for Engineers in Singapore or the Registered Safety Officer's Continuing Professional Development Programme. Participants will gain PDU or SDU points upon completion of the course. Course participants must complete this course with at least 75% attendance rate. (Note: The number of PDU or SDU points may vary for each run, PEB & the relevant authorities will make the final decision on the number of points to be issued.)

Are there any training grants provided for SEI’s courses?
Training grants may be given by the Skills Development Fund (SDF) on a case-to-case basis.

The respective companies are required to submit their application for the training grants directly to WDA. All applications must reach WDA at least 1 working day before the course commencement date. For more details on the SDF application procedures, please contact WDA at 6883 5885 or wda_sdf@wda.gov.sg. Alternatively, you may log on to their website at www.skillsconnect.gov.sg.

I am unable to attend the course, can I request for a withdrawal or postponement?
All notice of withdrawal/postponement must be given in writing. For written withdrawal/postponement received at least 14 days or more prior to the course commencement date, a 75% of the course fee is refundable. No refund will be given for written withdrawal that is received less than 14 days prior to the course commencement date and/or if the participant fails to attend the course.

In the event that a registered participant is unable to attend but does not wish to withdraw from the course, a replacement  (who meets the relevant entry requirement of the course) is allowed. Please provide the particulars of the substitute at least 1 week prior to the course commencement date.

SEI may allow course postponement to next available run, subjected to seat availability. Course postponement is allowed once for each participant. SEI reserves the rights to place the participant on the waiting list if there is no available seat.

Where can I register for Environmental Control Officers' Course?
From March 2011, the Environmental Control Officers Course will be conducted by Singapore Polytechnic’s PACE (Professional & Adult Continuing Education) Academy in collaboration with SEI. There are both day and night classes available.

Where can I register for Food Hygiene Officers (FHO) Course?
The Workforce Development Agency (WDA) launched the Food & Beverage Workforce Skills Qualification (WSQ) system in 2007 as the national qualifications standard for the Food & Beverage industry. With effect from 1 August 2010, NEA has aligned the FHO Course to the Food & Beverage WSQ standards in line with the government's effort to upgrade the skills of workers. To qualify as a FHO, the appointed staff will have to undergo the Conduct Food & Beverage Hygiene Audit course.

The WSQ Conduct Food & Beverage Hygiene Audit course is a competency-based course which aims to raise the hygiene audit skills of FHOs. The course is a 3.5 day programme inclusive of assessment. FHOs trained under the WSQ framework will gain knowledge and practical skills in conducting audits on cleanliness, personal hygiene and food hygiene in food establishments. Can my company have a customised run of the Programme for Environmental Experiential Learning (PEEL) Trail? Can the trail be conducted in Mandarin?
Yes, SEI is able to customise a PEEL trail for companies, subject to site availability. For the language and other customisation requirements, please send in your request to nea_seicustomer@nea.gov.sg.

How can I make payment?
Payment can be made by cheque, cash, nets or credit card.

By Cheque:
Please remit a crossed cheque, amounting to the payable course fees (inclusive of GST) made payable to "National Environment Agency". Please write the Name of the nominee (participant), NRIC Number, Course Title & Date and the Queue ID on the back of the cheque.

By Cash, NETS or Credit Card:
Please proceed to make the payment at NEA Customer Service Centre at National Environment Agency, Level 2, Environment Building, 40 Scotts Road, Singapore 228231.

For overseas participants:
We will require payment to be made before the course commencement. Goods and Services Tax (GST) is not applicable for overseas company-sponsored participants. For payments by telegraphic transfer, the paying company/participant will have to bear both Singapore and the paying company's local bank charges. Please contact our Customer Relations officer to confirm the payable amount of the course fee and the bank details before making any payment.

When must I make payment of course fees?
You may make payment once your registration is successful or at least two weeks before the course commencement date. We do not issue tax invoice before the course. Please use the course application acknowledgement printout to process your payment.

When will I receive my examination results?
You will receive the examination results approximately 6 weeks after the examination date. We will notify all participants by mail. Please ensure that your mailing address is correct during registration.

What are the conditions for re-sit of examination?
Candidates are allowed to re-sit their examination once only. If they fail the re-sit, they will have to re-take the whole course. The re-sit fee is $20 for each examination.

If I lose or misplace my course certificate, can I request for a copy of the certificate?
We do not re-issue the certificate, however we can issue a testimonial for a fee of $7.70 (GST inclusive). Please email your request to nea_seicustomer@nea.gov.sg stating your name, NRIC number, date of examination and contact number.

How do I request for SEI's publications in hard copy?
We encourage everyone to read our publications online here. If you need the hard copy of any publication, please send in your request to nea_seimarketing@nea.gov.sg, stating your purpose for the request. Each request will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
