When is the registration closing date for the courses?
The closing date is normally two weeks before the course commences but registration will close as soon as the class is full.

Can I make reservation for the class?
Sorry we do not reserve seats. It is done by online registration on a first-come-first-serve basis.

How do I ensure that my registration is successful?
Ans Your registration is successful when you reach the course application acknowledgement page showing the Queue ID and other registration details. Please print the page as a record of your course application. And also that SEI have received the full course fee payment before the course commence.

Do SEI courses have accreditation?
Yes, some courses are accredited under the Professional Engineers Board's Continuing Professional Development Programme for Engineers in Singapore or the Registered Safety Officer's Continuing Professional Development Programme. Participants will gain PDU or SDU points upon completion of the course. Course participants must complete this course with at least 75% attendance rate. (Note: The number of PDU or SDU points may vary for each run, PEB & the relevant authorities will make the final decision on the number of points to be issued.)

How can I make payment?
Payment can be made by cheque, cash, nets or credit card. Cheques must be made payable to "National Environment Agency” and sent to Head (Training & Development Department), Singapore Environment Institute", #06-00, Environment Building, 40 Scotts Road, Singapore 228231. For payment by other modes, please contact SEI customer service personnel at Tel : 67319208.

When must I make payment of course fees?
You may make payment once your registration is successful or at least two weeks before the course commencement date. We do not issue tax invoice before the course. Please use the course application acknowledgement printout to process payment.

Are there any training grants provided for SEI’s courses?
Training grants may be given by the Skills Development Fund (SDF) and/or the Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP) on a case to case basis.
The respective companies are required to submit their application for the training grants directly to WDA and/or SRP. All applications must reach WDA and/or SRP at least 1 working day before the course commencement date. For more details, please contact :

When will I receive my examination results?
You will receive the examination results approximately 6 weeks after the exam date. We will notify all participants by mail. Please ensure that your mailing address is correct during registration.

What are the conditions for re-sit of examination?
Candidates are allowed only to re-sit their examination once. If they failed the re-sit, they will have to re-take the whole course. The re-sit exam fee is $30 for Environmental Control Officers Course and $20 for other courses.

If I lose or misplace my course certificate, can I request for a copy of the certificate?
We do not re-issue the certificate, however we will only provide a testimonial for a fee of $7. Please email your request to nea_seicustomer@nea.gov.sg stating your name, NRIC, date of exam and contact number.
