*Singapore Certified Energy Manager (Professional Level)

The programme envisions a SCEM (Singapore Certified Energy Manager) as a competent energy professional equipped to perform technical & managerial functions as a qualified person in energy auditing works (at level III), energy performance contracting and project management, energy efficiency analysis, energy economics and financial assessment. He or she is also expected to carry out data analysis, identify saving potentials and make sound recommendations and proposals.
There are 2 certifiable training levels for SCEM, namely Associate and Professional Levels. Both levels are defined for the industry and building sectors.
International Recognition of the SCEM Programme
The programme is recognised and endorsed by the US-Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). The AEE has accorded the SCEM full exemption for its Certified Energy Manager (CEM©) certification requirements, which is a first for the region.
Criteria for Certification – Professional Level
Candidate must possess relevant engineering or science degree. He/she has to complete and pass examinations for 4 compulsory modules and 2 electives, and acquires 2-3 years of relevant working experience. Click here for more information on SCEM certification.

Criteria for Certification at Professional Level
Candidate must possess relevant engineering or science degree. He/she has to complete and pass examinations for 4 compulsory modules and 2 electives, and acquires 2-3 years of relevant working experience. For the electives modules, candidates can select 2 electives from either the building or industry sector.
Admission to the full SCEM Programme at professional level

An SCEM Training Grant can help trainees defray cost to complete the full programme (4 compulsory modules + 2 electives) if grant requirements are met. The full SCEM programme fee is SGD$5,885 (incl. GST).

Successful grant applicants need only pay a subsidised course fee of SGD$963 (incl. GST) for the full programme.

Employers can also claim ‘Absentee Payroll Subsidy’ for company-sponsored trainees under the Skills Retraining Programme (SRP) for attending 144 hours of training
Enrolment for individual modules (non-grant applicants)
We also accept enrolment for individual module. Each module fee is SGD$963 (incl. GST), except for the 'Energy Measurement & Appraisal' module which is SGD$1,070 (incl.GST) as it includes a practical session. Course fee does not include examinations fees.
Should any participant decide to take up the full programme & apply for the training grant after attending individual modules, they will be required to make another payment of $963 to attend the full programme (if eligible for the training grant).

Things to Bring to Class
Note: Participants are required to bring a scientific calculator for the whole duration of this course.
For Energy Measurement and Appraisal module, participants will also need to bring a notebook on the 2nd and 3rd of the course.
