The National Skills Recognition System or NSRS is a competence-based system. All assessments under the NSRS cover both the skills and underpinning knowledge. A NSRS Skills Standard describes the performance criteria for each skill set call a "Unit of Competence". This Skills Standard is drawn up by representatives of the pest management industry, under the guidance of WDA and National Environment Agency (NEA).

NSRS enables our workforce to enhance performance levels through a national framework of skills training and an independent assessment by Singapore Environment Institute (SEI) that is systematic and developed to a high standard that is relevant to local conditions. In addition, it improves standard and quality of work so that clients will enjoy more effective, efficient and safe pest management service delivered by skillful personnel. 

SEI is the Industry Assessment Centre (IAC) for the Pest Management industry. In order to qualify for the test, all applicants are required to undergo the following training and submit endorsed documents to SEI:

SPMA, as the Approved Training Centre (ATC), will oversee the above training. Training grants may be given by the Skills Development Fund (SDF) on a case-by-case basis. Companies are required to submit their applications for the training grants directly to SDF at least 1 working day before the commencement of the e-learning package. Assessment Test Details:
The assessment tests will be conducted at the following assessment sites:

Site A: (Treat Mosquito/Rodent Infestations)

Time Slots for each skill:
Slot 1: 9.00am to 10.00am
Slot 2: 10.15am to 11.15am
Slot 3: 11.30am to 12.30pm
Slot 4: 1.30pm to 2.30pm
Slot 5: 2.45pm to 3.45pm
Slot 6: 4.00pm to 5.00pm

- Dates of the assessment tests will be released soon. 
- Please note that each applicant can only register for one time slot. 
- Booking of assessment tests is based on a first-come-first-serve basis, submission of required documents and payment of the assessment fee.

Post-Assessment Appeal
Participants who failed the assessment test can make an appeal to SEI using the appeal form. Please note that a fee of $50 will be charged for an appeal. The amount will be refunded if the appeal is successful.

Participants are required to pay the full assessment fee if they wish to re-take the test.

Upon registration, all applicants are required to submit relevant documents to SEI for verification. These documents must be endorsed by the above training providers. All applicants will be notified by post whether they are successful or unsuccessful in their applications.
