The Singapore Environment Institute (SEI) has been conducting various training programmes on environmental management and environmental public health to the developing countries. Many of these programmes are organised under the auspices of the Singapore Cooperation Programme (SCP), administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of Singapore. To-date, more than 2000 officials from over 60 countries had benefited from our environmental training programmes.
Some of these international programmes were developed and organised in partnership with international organisations such as the Asia Development Bank, the World Bank, the World Health Organisation, Canadian International Development Agency, Japan International Cooperation Agency, and other governmental training agencies in countries such as Australia, Canada, Denmark, Japan, Korea and Norway.
Through these partnerships, we hope that the experience, expertise and resources of two or more partners can be synergised to provide training programmes for the benefit of a larger number of developing countries.
