MODULE INTRODUCTION
This intensive module, taught by staff members of APCEL and officers from NEA’s Environmental Health and Pollution Control Departments, aims to provide a good overview to Environmental Law from an international, regional and national perspective.

Programme participants should preferably have 3-5 years of working experience and hold a basic degree.
ABOUT THE SPEAKERS
Prof Lye Lin-Heng is Deputy Director of the Asia-Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (APCEL), established by the Law Faculty, National University of Singapore in 1996.
Prof Burton Ong pursued his undergraduate and graduate degrees at NUS, Oxford University, and Harvard Law School. Since joining the Law Faculty in 1999, he has taught Legal Methods and System, Contract Law,Intellectual Property Law and Competition Law.
Prof Lim Lei Theng teaches the Law relating to Climate Change to students in the MEM programme, and to participants at various environmental management training programmes conducted by APCEL with MFA.
Dr Koh Kheng Lian is a Professorial Fellow of the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore and the Director of the Asia – Pacific Centre for Environmental Law (APCEL), established by the Faculty.
Prof Michael Ewing-Chow is a professor at the Faculty of Law where he teaches Company Law, World Trade Law and Trade Law in Asia.
