SYNOPSIS
Environmental, Social and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting is gaining greater and greater prominence globally. In a recent survey of Singapore companies, more than 50% believed that environmental and social reporting would become commonplace in Singapore within the next five years.
So what is reporting, and why is it important to companies locally? How does it fit into Corporate Social Responsibility? How does reporting relate to the Carbon Disclosure project? Why are some investors putting significance on reporting and asking for environmental/CSR disclosure from companies? And why is it that ACCA, an accountancy body, is jointly organizing this workshop?
All these issues will be addressed in this workshop, alongside providing practical step-by-step guidance of how to produce a report, who it is relevant to and what the business drivers are.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
This 1-day workshop is designed to provide a background on reporting, why it has become a business issue, and to impart practical knowledge of producing a comprehensive environmental, social and/or sustainability report to persons or organisations that are interested to find out more about environmental and social reporting. Participants will have the opportunity to review and perform a stakeholder assessment on an environmental or social report in the session, participate in group discussion and gain insight from past SESRA winners about their journey in reporting.
