INTRODUCTION
Today, the world lives in an environment with threats of pandemic influenza and bioterrorism, increasing problem with Dengue, and the realization, born of the SARS outbreak, that new infectious diseases may be recognized at any time, in any place. These events have dramatically raised our awareness on emerging infectious diseases which have caught the attention of the world. What are the important emerging disease threats? How can we detect their occurrences and respond timely and appropriately? Five international experts will be sharing their experiences and findings in this half day seminar on Emerging Infectious Diseases.
