PUB oversaw the cleansing and flushing of drains, checked 300km of drains and started repairs on 10km that required minor repairs.

All Town Councils now have dedicated Pest Control Officers (PCOs) to conduct baseline surveys and ensure that the follow-up inspection and maintenance regime is thorough and respond to all possible breeding habitats. Town Councils also checked rooftops for stagnant water on a weekly basis to eliminate breeding sites. A standard operating procedure was put in place to ensure prompt notification and rectification of rooftops with problems.

LTA increased the frequency of cleaning and inspection of bus shelters and linkways with gutters from fortnightly to weekly as well as the oiling of its construction sites from once to four times a week.

SLA increased the frequency of inspection and maintenance of vacant State Land and properties to prevent mosquito breeding.

HDB put in place measures to ensure that contractors and project managers of construction sites maintain good housekeeping practices. It also conducted checks on vacant flats to ensure that mosquito-proofing measures already in place continue to be effective in keeping the flats free of mosquito breeding.
